This intimate salon festival includes a formal late summer picnic which will take place on the grounds of the pineapple house, an eccentric summerhouse built by the 4th Earl of Dunmore. 

In the late 18th century it was tradition that sailors put a pineapple on the gate to announce their return home and the comical Lord Dunmore took this tradition to heart, building a pineapple on top of his house when he returned from serving as Governor of Virginia.  

Within the gardens of this fruity setting over a lavish picnic feast with pink champagne in the Baroque style, participants will engage in a triptych of salons on Life, Sex, and Death. 

The festivities will include:

Three speaker led salons, an opera and cello concert, a Baroque themed champagne brunch, and an organized nature walk the following day. 

The pineapple, which symbolizes friendship, is the perfect symbol for a weekend of cultivating new relationships in this delightfully eccentric setting and picturesque part of Scotland. This is the ideal, one of a kind present to offer to a loved one, family member, or friend.
