Our New Creative Director
We are happy to announce The Public Sphere’s new creative director, Yashka Moore.
Yashka’s main work is all about understanding how external space and the objects that occupy it construct the inner architecture of our minds.
After studying and then teaching philosophy, Yashka launched StudioYASHKA, the British Fashion Council supported design house unique in engineering enlightenment through the design of luxurious ‘tools’ for philosophical living. As a designer, Yashka’s work has been exhibited at London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week and most recently at the British Ambassador’s residence in Japan. Her work has been featured in international press including Harpers Bazaar and i-D, worn by beautiful people including Leonard Cohen and was chosen by Thomas Erber for Le Cabinet de Curiosities in New York in collaboration with Maison Kitsune, an exhibition of “THE finest objet d’arts from the worlds of fashion, art, design and travel” (Vogue UK).
Yashka recently shared her current research on the potential applications of embodied cognition for design practice at the Wellcome Collection. Previous writing includes an essay series for the Saatchi Gallery Magazine.
Yashka Moore is a fellow at the RSA, an avid sport-lock picker and is writing a libretto for a new opera in her spare time.
