In this salon we will discuss the meaning and symbolism of sex in our personal relationships and in society. We will question how our perception and expectations of this act are changing.
Celebrated British psychologist Susan Quilliam, who has special experience in relationships, will join our salon to share her ideas on the psychology of sex and desire.
In 2008 Susan published an updated edition of the 1972 book, The Joy of Sex. She will discuss how attitudes have changed since the original publication of the book, the changes she noted in rewriting the book, and the trajectory of what she calls ‘new hedonism’ as opposed to ‘new puritanism.’
