Around 1800, a vibrant tradition of music duals took place across Europe within salons. One of the most famous duals in classical music history was fought between Beethoven and Steibelt.
Reviving this mirthful tradition, we will host a formal soirée in which some of the most talented classical concert musicians will theatrically dual each other, playfully demonstrating their virtuosity to win the hearts of their audience. The audience will be able to participate by jovially communicating their preferences and contributing to the composition of a short piece of music. The winner of the dual will receive a surprise award. Vibrant conversations and dancing will follow.
Black tie is requested.
This special salon event is by invitation only. For those who would like to register their interests please email: justinek@publicspheresalons.com Unfortunately not everyone who registers their request will be able to attend due to limited spaces.
