In a world of plastic surgery, fake news stories, and false representations of self on social media, our relationship to truth is quickly changing and often wrought with tensions in the digital age.
In this salon we will question the definition and value of truth in the 21st century as well as consider the changing nature of the fake and the authentic in politics, culture, and society.
We are lucky to have as speaker David Henty, one of the greatest living art forgers and copyist artists. David has created perfect replicas of artists from Modigliani to Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet. After serving a prison sentence for forgery in the 1990’s, David established a thriving legitimate business selling copyist art. He will bring his art to the salon and share with us his ideas on what is true in the art world.
